Žuta se tumači i kao boja za djecu, kao topla, nestabilna i spontana boja. Dokazano je i da bebe češće plaču u žutim sobama. Žutu obuću, hlače i haljine zgodno je odijenuti kao dio proljetne i ljetne odjeće i vedre garderobe. Žuto crne odjevne kombinacije vrlo su česte. Nijanse žute boje su limun-žuta, zlatno-žuta, kremasta, boja senfa, banane ili žuti oker.
